The weekend of CInco de Mayo, we sailed at the Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia in Drexel's Spring Open. On Saturday, A fleet, skippered by Robert Jarrett and crewed by Emily Pooley, managed to get off two races in light wind after a general recall. B fleet, skippered by Jeremy Welsch and crewed by Kyle Benjamin, tried to get their races in but the wind died before they could complete the first race. After everyone came in, the wind died for the rest of the day. However, we didn't let that stop us from having fun. There were hiking wars and paddle races along with some land based activities like cornhole. When it was apparent the wind wouldn't return, we were done for the day.

On Sunday, Emily skippered the first rotation of B fleet with Kyle as her crew before moving to A fleet crew for Rob as skipper. Jeremy resumed his skippering position in B fleet the following rotation. The wind was a steady 5 kts with gusts of 10 kts. Overall, we came in 7th out of 8 boats besting Webb Institute. Notably, Robert and Emily came in 2nd place in the second to last race of the day!
