The team was founded for the purpose of introducing students and faculty to the sport of sailing and to provide an avenue to those interested in sailing competitively. We accept anyone who is interested regardless of skill level. Most of our team learned to sail here at Rutgers.

We practice at the Class of 1914 boathouse on the banks of the Old Raritan. Practices are held twice a week in the afternoons during both the fall and spring semesters.

For those interested, we compete in the Intercollegiate Sailing Association in the Mid-Atlantic Region. We attend an number of regattas up and down the East Coast on the weekends. Occasionally traveling further to places such as Canada, Florida, and Hawaii.
