1st Annual Winter Awards Dinner

The team had a great time at the Raritan Yacht Club for our First Annual Winter Awards Dinner. Most of the team was able to make it and some of our supportive alumni were even able to join us.

It was a great evening for all of us to hang out together just before finals begin to start. We were all decked out in sports coats, ties, and dresses, making it a great opportunity to take some nice photos since when we are usually all together we are in bathing suits or gym shorts.

After dinner, John and Ryan gave speeches about how far the team has come over the past ten years since they restarted the team in 2006. This actually marks the 10th anniversary of the reforming of the team. John even read a really cool sailing poem. Then they moved on to awards. Mike, Dan, Robert, and Taylor all received awards. Then Taylor as the outgoing president handed the burgee onto Robert and the new officers to ceremoniously show the passing of command. It was definitely a great night and something we want to continue to do in the years coming.

We want to thank our Coaches John and Ryan for volunteering their time for all the work they do for us! And we want to give a special thanks to Coach Ryan of setting up the entire awards dinner, and to Raritan Yacht Club for hosting us!
